About Lindsay
The very last words you ever want to hear….you have cancer. Our fighter, Lindsay Marie Thul, heard those devastating words at the young age of 28 after two weeks of experiencing a sore and inflamed breast. While we all fell to pieces around her, Lindsay never lost hope. Educating herself about her disease, Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC), became her primary mission and focus. Understanding that this form of breast cancer is the rarest and most aggressive type only ignited her desire to exhaust every option available, and be “the one in a million to beat it”.
Unfortunately, on February 1, 2017, only 10 months after being diagnosed, Lindsay lost her battle, but her hope lives on. Lindsay’s Legacy Fund brings hope to those who need it most. Women experiencing IBC symptoms that need help paying for their diagnostic tests, or assistance with airfare to get to one of the country’s leading IBC medical facilities. That is what this Fund is for. Lindsay had hope for the future, and she would want other women to have the means to hope for survival.

WHAT IS IBC?
Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) is a rare and very aggressive disease in which cancer cells block lymph vessels in the skin of the breast. This type of breast cancer is called “inflammatory” because the breast often looks swollen and red, or “inflamed.”
